  1. What is International Medical Travel?

International Medical travel is the concept of traveling to a particular destination for health care services. These services are offered by countries with qualified and experienced health care professionals working in some of the highly technologically advanced facilities in the world.  International medical travel helps medically underserved residents located in the US, Europe, Australia, Canada, and Asia. The costs are usually a fraction of what the same procedure would be in their countries. Moreover, these medical travels may include holiday amenities like hotel or resort accommodation, chauffered city travel, and a bilingual personal assistant to guide and make a client feel secure and to arrange any other requirements he may need aside from medical needs.

  2. Why should I choose to carry out my health care procedures in the Philippines?

The Philippines has internationally recognized health care professionals. The nation’s health practitioners have excellent healthcare education and training.  In fact, most Philippine doctors spend approximately two months a year in the United States for further studies or seminars to update them on their specialties.  Many Filipino doctors are trained or have worked in the United States and other countries, and they have kept abreast of international medical work trends. Filipino physicians will make you feel comfortable with their traditionally warm and pleasant bedside manner. Filipino nurses and caregivers are very much in demand not only in the United States but all over the world due to their caring and tender attitude towards their patients. Philippine health care centers are well equipped with state-of-the-art technology.  Furthermore, the currency exchange rate increases the value of most foreign currencies and thus makes the Philippines an attractive destination for medical travel.

  4. Is it safe to live and travel within the Philippines?

The Philippines has always been safe to live in and visit, although every now and then, as what happens in other countries abroad as well, some advisories on travel to certain parts are issued as precautionary measures. We have large foreign communities living in the major cities and even in the rural areas. The Philippines is well connected internationally and has a good domestic air and road travel network. The Philippines has many large cities which are not unfamiliar with cosmopolitan culture. These cities have the best modern living facilities and services comparable to any American or European city. Filipinos are generally pleasant, peace loving and helpful. To add to the comfort level of our clients, a bilingual personal assistant is assigned to them throughout their stay.

  5. What price differences can I expect in relation to the cost of health care in USA, Canada, Japan, Australia, Europe, and other Asian countries?

The price of your total package includes the health care procedure, in-patient care, pre and post procedure accommodation in a hotel of your choice, personal assistance, transfers, travel and tours. Cost can be 50%-80% cheaper than the procedure alone if done in the above-mentioned countries. Thus you will pay less for world-class health care services, have a holiday in one of the most exotic countries in the world and at the same time, manage big savings.

  6. How can healthcare providers in the Philippines offer such affordable and convenient prices?

The Philippine currency exchange rate is very favorable to American, European, Australian, and a few Asian currencies. The medical salaries of nurses and other healthcare personnel are much lower than those in the US and Europe. However, the educational standards, training and facilities’ standards are at par with those existing in the United States and other Western countries.

  8. Is it possible to know before traveling if the health care procedure I need to have can be done in the Philippines?

We want you to be confident of your trip and the health care procedure that you will undergo. We recommend that you make as many pre-procedure inquiries you need in order to feel confident about your decision. We encourage you to make email, telephone and/or video-conference contact with your doctor, which we will facilitate, before requesting the treatment. It is important to be completely aware of your treatment and recovery. Your doctor may ask you for all the necessary examinations, diagnostic reports and photos, which you will need to send to him in order to analyze the feasibility of treatment before traveling. If you do not speak English, we can provide, upon request, a translator during pre-treatment consultations.
